Government Relations

 

A successful governmental relations practice requires the combination of a mastering of the legislative and regulatory processes, and a personal understanding of, and relationship with, its principals. The Firm’s headquarters in the heart of Albany provides our attorneys with close proximity to the decision makers in State government.

The Firm has a significant practice representing clients in connection with matters pending before various New York State departments, agencies and authorities. The Firm provides assistance in connection with the drafting, interpretation and implementation of legislation and regulations, and assists clients in navigating New York's regulatory maze. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (“DEC”), the Adirondack Park Agency (“APA”), the Attorney General’s Office, and the New York State Insurance Department (the “Insurance Department”) are among the agencies in which the Firm's regulatory practice is focused.
